TORONTO, ON – October 25, 2012 – Last night, 500 Ontario business and civic leaders celebrated the 2012 Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAA).

There were two winners of the RBC Royal Bank Small Business Award.

Miovision Technologies, the traffic data solutions provider and a member of the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, shared in the award.

CARSTAR, the leading collision repair company, also won. CARSTAR is a member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce.

Voices.com, an online marketplace for voiceover talent, was runner-up.

The RBC Royal Bank Small Business Award is presented to a company (or companies) that are forward-thinking in the overall business practices, constantly growing sales, and penetrating new markets. They are focused on employee morale and skill acquisition and exemplify corporate citizenship.

“We just launched a new product that optimizes traffic flow in communities. If you’re getting to work faster, that’s because of us,” says Kurtis McBride of Miovision Technologies.

“We’re on a mission to be the best in the industry and we are fortunate to have such a great team working with us. It’s truly an honour to receive this award. We want to thank the OCC, RBC and all of our customers and franchise partners,” says Sam Mercanti, President and CEO of CARSTAR Hamilton.
