CARSTAR also works hard to meet and exceed industry standards regarding the application and disposal of hazardous materials, including:

Non-reparable sheet metal is sent to recycling depot

Discarded tires and batteries are sent to a recycle facility

Waste solvents are recycled on premises

Excess solvent and paint is sent for safe disposal or recycling
Community
Whether we are sponsoring local events, or supporting a national charity, giving back and contributing to the community is a very important part of what CARSTAR stands for.
Our individual stores also give back to their local communities by participating in fund raisers, sponsorships and apprentice programs, enriching the lives of the people they work and live with.
Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic fibrosis is a common, fatal genetic disease affecting young Canadians, attacking the lungs and the digestive system. CARSTAR Automotive Canada has been a dedicated supporter of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for several years, after it was discovered that the granddaughter of a CARSTAR franchisee was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
To date, CARSTAR has helped raise over $1.8 million to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis.
CARSTAR also hosts the CARSTAR "Soaps It Up" Car Wash for Cystic Fibrosis every June. All proceeds from the "Soaps It Up" Car Wash go to the local CCFF chapters and other charitable organizations in the community.
