CARSTAR Calgary’s MK Auto Group Providing Free Vehicle Detailing for Frontline Workers

CARSTAR Calgary’s MK Auto Group Providing Free Vehicle Detailing for Frontline Workers

For the second year, the MK Auto Group will be providing complimentary vehicle cleanings to frontline workers from Alberta Health Services and local fire departments until July 31, 2021.

“When the pandemic hit last year, we wanted to do what we could to give back to our community during this incredibly challenging time,” says Mark Kharfan, owner, MK Auto Group. “We hosted food drives for our local food banks and offered this free detailing service to our hardworking frontline workers. These gestures, which seemed small, were met with an overwhelmingly positive response, so we are excited to continue these programs this year.”

As part of the MK Auto Group’s initiative, they are also accepting donations and non-perishable food items at its CARSTAR locations for the Airdrie Food Bank, Calgary Food Bank, Okotoks Food Bank and High River Food Bank. It is part of the team’s larger commitment in giving back to the community it serves.

“It’s about doing our part as local business owners,” continues Kharfan. “At an unfortunate time when many companies have to lay off their employees, these initiatives give us the ability to keep our team together while still helping those in need.”

Local frontline workers can take advantage of this free service by emailing FrontLineWorkers@mkautogroup.ca to book an appointment for any of the MK Auto Group’s eight locations; CARSTAR Airdrie, CARSTAR Express Elboya, CARSTAR Express Macleod, CARSTAR Calgary Fish Creek, CARSTAR Calgary Heritage, CARSTAR High River, CARSTAR Okotoks and CARSTAR Calgary Shaganappi.

Actively engaged in their community, the MK Auto Group also regularly sponsors local teams, donates to local initiatives as well as raises crucial funds and awareness for its charitable cause, Cystic Fibrosis Canada. The MK Auto Group hopes to continue this newest tradition in the years to come to recognize all the hard work frontline workers continue to provide its communities.
