CARSTAR Thunder Bay Donates Nearly $3,000 to Our Kids Count
Daniel Trevisanutto, owner of CARSTAR Thunder Bay (Half-Way Motors), along with three dealerships in the area, recently donated food and an additional $2,000 to Our Kids Count’s emergency food cupboard to help stock the cupboards in this time of need, an initiative the stores have been supporting for 25 years.
“We are honoured to support an organization such as Our Kids Count,” said Daniel Trevisanutto, owner of CARSTAR Thunder Bay (Half-Way Motors). “Not only do they provide children and families with food and supplies that may be needed, but they also provide classes, training and resources to help the children and families develop necessary skills to live a successful life in all aspects.”
Our Kids Count is an organization that works with individuals and families to promote health and development of all children and youth who are in financial need. One program that Our Kids Count offers is food security through emergency food cupboards. The cupboards are free to access and focus on providing fresh, nutritious ingredients while also helping participants develop their skills in the kitchen.
“This year more than ever, we understand the challenges those in our community have been facing,” continued Trevisanutto. “It was a rewarding experience to see our team become so involved and we look forward to providing more support where we can!”
