Key Responsibilities:

• Support senior technicians in performing structural and cosmetic repairs on all makes and models of vehicles
• Assist with disassembly and reassembly processes while learning proper repair techniques
• Learn to use repair equipment including welders, measuring systems, and hand/power tools
• Notify the Estimator regarding supplements based on additional damage/parts discovered.
• Prepare vehicles for body and paint work, including sanding, masking, and priming
• Follow OEM repair procedures and CARSTAR standard operating practices
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with CARSTAR safety guidelines
• Participate in ongoing technical training, including I-CAR and OEM certification courses
• Uphold CARSTAR’s commitment to quality, customer service, and teamwork

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a provincially recognized autobody technician program
• I-CAR, or other industry training preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and passion for the automotive industry
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-first attitude
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
