Calgary Locations Make Massive Holiday Contribution

CARSTAR Calgary locations make massive holiday contribution. Calgary area multi-store owner team, Mark Kharfan Group, tried to make this season extra special for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary by making significant donations to this local charity.

The team exceeded expectations this year by raising enough money to provide gifts to the members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary, as well as their siblings, totally to 113 children being gifted. Also helping to host a traditional Canadian holiday meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and other trimmings, the CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group brought some delicious joy to Calgary families in need of some extra cheer this year.

“We have a dedicated social committee who works all year round to fundraise for this special holiday event for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary,” says Mark Kharfan, owner, CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group. “Committee member Joe Degroot even dressed up like Santa to distribute the hand wrapped toys not only bringing the children cheer – but really making our whole CARSTAR family feel extra festive this year.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Calgary is committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children, youth and their families by providing safe places and offering services and programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the Calgary community.

Supporting local charities is something ingrained in the CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group culture as they regularly fundraise for the CARSTAR charity of choice, Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Typically, the team hosts an annual Soaps It Up car wash and this year Mark Kharfan even purchased $3,000 worth of CARSTAR branded socks at the Momentum conference this year because proceeds went to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

The CARSTAR Mark Kharfan Group owns eight locations in the Calgary area including, CARSTAR Calgary Heritage, CARSTAR High River, CARSTAR Express Calgary MacLeod SW, CARSTAR Calgary Fish Creek, CARSTAR Okotoks, and CARSTAR Express Calgary Elboya.
