CARSTAR Johnny K Group Donates 800 lbs of Food to Edmonton’s Food Bank

CARSTAR Johnny K Group, consisting of CARSTAR Ellerslie, CARSTAR Leduc North, CARSTAR Edmonton Mayfield, CARSTAR Edmonton Gateway, CARSTAR Edmonton South East and CARSTAR Edmonton Express South, recently donated 800lbs of food to Edmonton’s Food Bank.

“Watching our employees band together for a cause larger than themselves was incredible,” said Johnny Kloeckes, owner of CARSTAR Johnny K Group. “We are proud to have donated food in order to help those who live in the surrounding communities and provide them with the nutrition they need to get through the holiday season.”

Edmonton’s Food Bank was founded in 1981 and became Canada’s first food bank. From here, the food bank has grown tremendously, now serving over 30,000 people each month and distributing nearly 13M pounds of feed each year.

“We know this time of year can be tough on many people, which is why we do everything we can to help donate to this cause,” continued Kloeckes. “My team and I look forward to continuing to give back to those living in the Edmonton community!”
