Direct Repair Program Training

The online education platform, CARSTAR University, has accelerated its exponential growth throughout 2018. Adding new programs every day, CARSTAR University delivers applicable training programs that are industry leading and positively contribute to the growth and performance of its network.

With 2,000 franchise partners and staff members enrolled in CARSTAR University and over 700 role-based learning programs completed, this training platform has proven incredibly valuable to collision repair facilities.

Adding direct program repair (DRP) training to CARSTAR University is a new and exciting addition to the platform. Highly popular by both the insurer and the network, the DRP training course helps franchise partners and their staff understand how to manage a claim with a particular insurer, in adherence to their guidelines.

Working closely with the insurer to develop the training course, the CARSTAR training and education team put together a module that would help an estimator facilitate the repair from first notice of loss to giving the vehicle back to the customer. With the first DRP lesson receiving tremendous feedback, CARSTAR has been working with other insurance partners to develop custom training programs for their specific guidelines.

Eager to continue expanding its repertoire of courses at CARSTAR University, the insurance team has been working closely with the training and education team to explore what other resources could be added to streamline the repair process for both the insurer and the network.
