Walking to Make Cystic Fibrosis History!

CARSTAR has been involved with Cystic Fibrosis Canada for over 20 years. Now, fighting cystic fibrosis has become CARSTAR’s official charity of choice across North America.

Cystic fibrosis is a hereditary disorder mainly affecting the lungs and digestive systems. The life expectancy of someone living with cystic fibrosis has increased over the years; however, Cystic Fibrosis Canada is still fighting for a cure. Understanding the impact that our fundraising has on research, care and advocacy, CARSTAR remains committed, never wavering on its support for this fight.

The month of June, is commonly known as, ‘Shine Month’ at CARSTAR. Throughout the entire month, franchise partners, vendors and valued supporters help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. Whether it is a car wash, barbecue or a golf tournament, CARSTAR is committed to raising valuable funds to fight this cause.

Kicking off Shine Month each year is the Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History – Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s principal fundraising initiative. Last year, CARSTAR raised over $34,000 as a show of support for this outstanding event. Cystic Fibrosis Canada works to make this a fun-filled day for the whole family with lots of games and things to do along your walk. CARSTAR locations all across Canada create their own teams and encourage local partners, friends and family to join in on a stunning walk for an exceptional cause. Locations like CARSTAR Red Deer and CARSTAR Gander are conveniently located and so invested in this cause they even host their local walk.
