Driven Brands, the world’s largest and most diverse automotive aftermarket business is beginning to lay the foundation of a complete collision and glass offering in Canada, which was proudly on display at CCIF.
CARSTAR, Canada’s largest premier network of independently owned collision repair facilities joined directly with sister company, Uniban, a leading technology-enabled provider of replacement, repair and recalibration services for automotive glass, to show a significant joint presence at CCIF. Hosted in Toronto this winter, the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) provides a national venue for all collision industry stakeholders – collision repairers, suppliers, insurers, associations, OEs, and educators – to network, share information, and collaborate to develop solutions to common industry issues and challenges.
“Historically, CARSTAR and Uniban have always demonstrated a strong presence at CCIF, as it is a cornerstone event that brings substantial education and value to Canadians in the industry,” says Michael Macaluso, Collision & Glass Group President, Driven Brands. “However now, as both organizations are under one umbrella, the teams were able to unite at the trade show, in our centrally located booth, creating momentous excitement amongst attendees. Showcased together at CCIF is not just a great visual, but also a practical example of our continued commitment to growth and success for our franchise, insurance and vendor partners. We have big, bold plans across Canada in 2020.”
Driven Brands announced the acquisition of Quebec-based Uniban in November of 2019. This added resource to Driven Brands’ Collision & Glass portfolio brings service offerings under one umbrella creating a central hub for all of its valued stakeholders. Jeff Labanovich, Canadian General Manager for CARSTAR and Mikaël Desmarais, General Manager for Uniban, have been working closely together to find efficiencies for its partners.
“The addition of Uniban into the Driven Brands family has increased our value proposition to all of our partners,” continues Macaluso. “Not only that, but it solidifies our position as collision and glass leaders for North America and we look forward to growing the vertical in both size and service levels for years to come.”
The CARSTAR and Uniban teams enjoyed networking with CCIF attendees and hosted a virtual paint spraying experience at its booth. A highlight for many trade show visitors, this activity was incredibly popular.
