At CARSTAR collision repair facilities across North America, teams are lacing up their walking shoes, filling their buckets and soaking their sponges, and donating their time to get ready for the annual CARSTAR Shine Month to raise valuable funds and awareness for its charitable cause, cystic fibrosis (CF).

During September, CARSTAR collision repair facilities will hold “Soaps It Up” car washes at their locations, participate in fundraising walks, donate their time to community needs and contribute gift cards to local CF families.

CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown in Hamilton, ON celebrated its 15th Soaps It Up car wash last year raising over $10,000 for the cause. After such momentum, the team was determined to continue its support for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, as it is more important than ever before for this immunocompromised group.

“We want to see folks get back on the road and getting back to their lives, while we want to help make sure their car looks good and support a great cause,” said Robin Juns, V. P. Sales and Marketing, LC Group of CARSTAR Collision and Glass Centres, which includes CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown, CARSTAR Waterdown and CARSTAR Hamilton Lockwood. “We’ve been involved in the ‘Soaps It Up’ car wash for years, and it’s a great way to give back to our community each year.”

Every year, CARSTAR locations from across North America celebrate Shine Month. This is a time CARSTAR dedicates to raising valuable funds and awareness for its charitable cause, cystic fibrosis (CF). Stores host a variety of events at their facilities to help raise money, while also participating in other local initiatives. Whether it’s the Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History in Canada or the “Soaps It Up” car wash, CARSTAR is committed to helping Cystic Fibrosis Canada change the meaning of CF to cure found.

CARSTAR began fundraising for cystic fibrosis in Canada over 20 years ago, when a franchise partner’s granddaughter received a cystic fibrosis diagnosis. Since then, the CARSTAR commitment to its charity of choice has only grown, as have the funds raised. Passing the $4 million threshold for funds raised for Cystic Fibrosis Canada in 2019, CARSTAR looks to continue accelerating its fundraising momentum in the U.S. and Canada.

One of the easiest ways to help CARSTAR fundraise this Shine Month is to visit a participating Soaps It Up car wash, like CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown on Friday, September 25 from 12 PM – 4 PM.
