Supporting the Edmonton Food Bank this Holiday Season 

Edmonton area CARSTAR locations in partnership with the Edmonton Insurance Association teamed up to donate over 3,740lbs of food and over $700 in cash to Edmonton’s Food Bank.

This is the Edmonton Insurance Association’s (EIA) 29^th year participating in raising food and fund donations for Edmonton’s Food Bank. CARSTAR joined the cause in 2017 and with over 17 business in the insurance industry and 11 CARSTAR locations participating – it has become a tremendously successful event.

“CARSTAR Edmonton South East manager Lisa Murphy invests a tremendous amount of time into coordinating the donation and making it a fun experience by even hosting a donation bin decorating contest,” says Esther Cantafio, owner, CARSTAR Edmonton North, CARSTAR St. Albert and CARSTAR Edmonton East. “It becomes a fun event supporting Edmonton’s Food Bank and we hope this spreads some extra holiday cheer to the Edmonton community.”

The Edmonton area CARSTAR locations are no strangers to giving back. Deeply committed to fundraising for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, these facilities have donated several thousands of dollar to cystic fibrosis, have provided local veterans a free windshield treatment to make winter driving easier and consistently support local fundraisers – all to give back to the community they work and live in.

Helping over 20,000 people each month, with 40 per cent being children, Edmonton’s Food Bank’s mission it to collect surplus and donated food for people in need in the Edmonton area, while also seeking solutions to the causes of hunger.
