CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown, CARSTAR Hamilton Lockwood and CARSTAR Waterdown, donated over 880lbs of food to Hamilton Food Share.
As food banks across North America continue to experience a strain on their supplies, this contribution of over 880lbs of food helps Hamilton Food Share provide crucial items needed for Hamilton’s most vulnerable.
“Our goal with this donation is to help our most vulnerable during a difficult time,” says Peter Chavez, owner, CARSTAR Hamilton Midtown, CARSTAR Hamilton Lockwood and CARSTAR Waterdown. “Supporting the communities we work and live in is a core value of our business and we hope this donation helps those who need it most.”
Started in 1988 as a response to the hunger crisis affecting thousands in the 1980s, Hamilton Food Share is the distribution hub of the Emergency Food Network in Hamilton. Through all its partnerships, Hamilton Food Share serves 13,000 people in Hamilton, including 5,000 children, each month.
